Manny G. Gomez, P.E., LEED® G.A.
Mr. Gomez grew up in Southern Nevada, and graduated from Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center as the school's first student body president, then served four years in the United States Air Force. After he returned from military service he attended the Community College of Southern Nevada and then transferred his studies to the University of Nevada, Reno where he studied civil engineering and humanities. He is an accomplished civil engineer and widely recognized by his peers and others as an expert in the field of infrastructure preservation and management, energy conservation, and public finance. He has conducted extensive research on the use of light emitting diodes (LED) in commercial, residential and outdoor lighting applications. Mr. Gomez is an engineer and educator; currently he teaches a class on infrastructure management and energy conservation methods and procedures for common interest communities (CICs) including townhouses, apartments and condominiums for the Nevada State Real Estate Division. Previously he taught mathematics classes at the Truckee Meadows Community College, and at the Clark County Community College (now CSN). Mr. Gomez has been a registered Professional Civil Engineer in Nevada since 1979 and in California since 1981, and is also a LEED Green Associate (GA). Mr. Gomez is a licensed Reserve Study Specialist in the State of Nevada.
